Overview

In 2020, travel stopped and productions with it. TaProd, a Bangkok-based film production house, still had crews, locations and clients — they just could not be in the same country. I led the concept for a print campaign that turned that constraint into the offer itself: come shoot with us, without leaving your desk.

Step 01

Finding the one image

Instead of explaining remote production with a diagram, we looked for a single object that could hold the whole idea. We landed on one table: camera, director's chair, monitors — an entire production carried on a desk. My idea sparks from the table we use everyday at work; the red table which is memorable, fit our corporate colour perfectly. I matched it with the computer and screens we have in the editing room where my executive producer actually used them to work on a remote shoot projects.

Step 02

Building it in 3D

I built the key visual as a 3D isometric illustration in SketchUp — director's desk, dual monitors. Then I added film reel, headphones, and other element on Illustrator — so every element could be staged and lit precisely, with no shoot required to make a campaign about shooting.

Step 03

Taking it to print

The visual became the anchor of a print and magazine spread: "Come Shoot With Us — in Thailand & Vietnam", pairing the isometric scene with the two territories TaProd could still deliver.

Challenges

Selling a service nobody had experienced yet. Remote direction sounded like a compromise, so the campaign had to make it feel like access rather than absence.

Outcome

A campaign that read in a single glance and gave the sales conversation a picture to point at — one desk, two countries, a full crew on the other side.

Reflection

The strongest concepts here came from a limitation, not a brief. Compressing an entire production onto one table taught me how much a single well-chosen object can carry.
